Advanced certificate program on Augmentative and Alternative Communication

"LUK" (Lehrgang Unterstützte Kommunikation) is an extra-occupational two-and-a-half-year advanced certificate program on a wide range of AAC related topics. Topics covered in this program include e.g. AAC assessment, language acquisition, pre-intentional and intentional communication, AAC and persons with an autism spectrum disorder, low- and high-tech devices, literacy in AAC. The participants are asked to apply the contents in their own work and to hand in a selection of documentation. Additionally, there are final oral and written exams the participants have to pass in order to get their certificate.

LUK started its first class in 2001 and in 2014 we started with the 10th class.
